   Adult Program

The Adult Program is ideal for people who have studied Japanese for at least one year in high school or one semester in college or private school. Adults with no previous Japanese language education are also welcome.

 

     Level 1

For high school age people and adults who have never studied Japanese.  The focus is on communication, including the introduction of greetings, simple sentences and customary phrases.

     Level 2

For people who have completed Level 1 or who have studied Japanese for between one and two years.

     Level 3

For students who have completed Level 2 or have studied Japanese for 2-3 years.

     Level 4

For people who have studied Japanese in college for at least 3 years or have lived in Japan and want to polish their speaking, reading and writing skills.  Highly recommended for students who want to take the Japanese Foundation's Proficiency Test level 3 or 4.

 

 The Adult Program uses the following textbooks:

  •  Communicative Japanese for Time Pressed People (Aratake) and additional selected reading materials.
  • Kanji 500 (Bonjinsha) Volumes 1- 3.

 

     Tutors are available to assist students that may be having difficulty with studies.
